Don’t Ever Use Turmeric If You’re on Any of The Following Medications

We all know that turmeric is one of the most beneficial ingredient when it comes to alternative medicine. It has amazing beneficial properties and can solve different problems with health.
Often is said that turmeric has no side- effects but, in some rare cases it can case few negative effects on health. But, this is only happening if it is combined with certain medications.

Numerous studies proved its health benefits. For those who do not know it, turmeric is ground- up root which is used as culinary spice, medicine and comes from India. Curcumin, the active ingredient inside turmeric, is the one responsible for all positive benefits due to its anti- carcinogenic, anti- inflammatory, anti- oxidant and anti- thrombotic properties. So, this is why some people use it instead of medications, which is a good thing, because they want to avoid the negative effects of the excessive use of medications.

But, the one thing that all people should know is that turmeric can be sometimes dangerous if it is combined with some medications.
For example, its anti- thrombotic property which reduces blood clots, may cause severe additional problems with health if it is combined with blood medicines as aspirin or warfarin. This cobinaton will increase the blood- thinning medications and will raise the risk of bleeding.

Medications for diabetes also should not be combined with turmeric because it can elevate the risk of low blood sugar. Blurred vision, delirium, impaired cognitive function and anxiety are the side- effects from it.
Allergic reactions are possible, rashes also plus shortness of breat and anaphylaxis may appear.
If you consuume drugs for reducing your stomach acid you should not consume turmeric because it will increase the production of stomach acid and will lead to nausea and pain. Medications like Omeprazole, Famotidine, Cimetidine and Ranitidine.

Do not despair, replace turmeric with some other natural alternative, there are many of them. But, most importantly remember do not take turmeric at the same time with those medications.
