Unhealthy Food Cravings Are a Sign of Mineral Deficiencies

Donuts, chocolate, salty salts or any kind of refined carbs are very unhealthy. You should definitely not consume them but sometimes it happens that you crave for them.
Whatever you do, the craving are not going away, but do you know why? Recently science explained all of this happens due to the lacks of minerals inside your body. We are not joking, sometimes lack of minerals may be found in unhealthy foods. Only the minerals actually can end the craving for the unhealthy food.

Chocolate – craving for chocolate is very common problem and is believe it or not associated with lack of magnesium. Magnesium is often known as mineral for relaxation because anxiety, irritability, insomnia and high blood pressure are main symptoms for magnesium deficiency. If you are lack in magnesium then over 300 biochemical reactions are possible in the body.
Those small amounts of magnesium in chocolate is making people who are deficient in it to feel much better after eating it, it relaxes them. But, this is not healthy source at all. If you are magnesium deficient, you need to consume dark leafy green vegetables, seeds, nuts, fish, beans and blackstrap molasses.

Foods rich in sugar – they are placed on second place for most common craving. Five nutrients are linked to this craving, important ones as chromium which regulates blood sugar levels, carbon from which the sugar is made of, phosphorus which stimulates the production of energy, sulfur which removes toxins and tryptophan which regulates serotonin. If you want to reduce this craving you must to drastic changes in your diet.

Refined carbohydrates – If you adore pasta or bread you have nitrogen deficiency. Compounds in nitrogen can be found in nucleic acid and protein so basically this links to protein deficiency also. Instead of large bowl with spaghetti, take nitrogen rich meal instead. Fruits and vegetables are rich in it.

Oily and Fatty Foods – it leads to calcium deficiency. Increase your intake of raw milk, greens and broccoli in your menu.

Ice – you have iron deficiency. Meat, sea vegetables, leafy greens can help you out.

Salty foods – you need chloride and this is why you need more fish, nuts and seeds.
